Production: Locking down The DATE!
This week has been all about coordination, group chats, and a *lot* of back-and-forth. You’d think finding a date to film would be the easiest part of the process, but when you’re working with a group of busy people, it’s like trying to solve a puzzle where all the pieces keep moving.
My partner and I have been in constant communication with the rest of the team, trying to figure out a schedule that works for everyone. Between classes, work, and other commitments, it felt like we were playing a never-ending game of calendar Tetris. There were moments when I wondered if we’d ever find a day that suited everyone.
But then, finally, it happened. After what felt like a hundred messages, a few compromises, and a lot of patience, we locked in a date. I won’t say what it is just yet let’s keep a little mystery, shall I?
but knowing we have a solid plan in place is a huge relief. It’s one less thing to worry about, and it means we’re one step closer to bringing this project to life.
What’s been interesting about this process is how much it’s reminded me of the importance of communication. Filmmaking isn’t just about creativity; it’s about logistics, too. It’s about listening to everyone’s needs, finding common ground, and making sure everyone feels heard. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s necessary.
Now that we have a date, the real work begins. Pre-production is kicking into high gear, and I can’t wait to share more updates as we move forward. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes glimpses, sneak peeks, and maybe even a few surprises along the way.
Oh, and remember
BE COOL AND STAY IN SCHOOL.
